Massive 5.5 KM Bypass Coming Soon in Bihar to End Traffic Chaos — Two Railway Overbridges Also Approved!
Tired of being stuck in traffic for hours? You’re not alone. In a game-changing move for local commuters, Bihar is witnessing swift progress on a 5.5-kilometer-long bypass road aimed at reducing road congestion and easing daily travel.
This new bypass isn’t just another road—it’s a lifeline for thousands who deal with jam-packed streets day in and day out.
Progress is finally visible, as land acquisition is now in motion. Farmers from Bankat and Purainee Mauja have given their nod to the project, paving the way for development. The administration is conducting land valuation in these areas.
Meanwhile, for the remaining plots, official notices have been issued. Landowners who haven’t responded will soon see the government taking over their property, as physical verification has already begun.
To accelerate the project, a review meeting was called by Sub-Divisional Officer Rakesh Kumar, bringing together key stakeholders. Present in the meeting were NH-120 engineer Arya, land acquisition officer Vineet Kumar, and trainee Deputy Collector Amit Kumar.
They emphasized direct communication with landowners and instructed officials to personally visit and resolve issues. The aim is clear—complete groundwork quickly and move into construction.
But the good news doesn’t end there.
The central and state governments had approved this bypass project two years ago, and now, plans for two Railway Overbridges (ROBs) are also gaining traction.
Dumraon ROB: Located near the western cabin crossing at Dumraon Railway Station, this overbridge will soon end long wait times for travelers.
Raghunathpur ROB: The Ministry of Railways has also greenlit an ROB near Raghunathpur Station on the Ara-Buxar line under Danapur Division.
District and railway officials have finalized the project plans, and a public hearing is scheduled for April 17, signaling the final step before construction begins.
The railway department has already selected the construction agency and marked locations for material storage. According to SDO Rakesh Kumar, the agency is ready to begin groundwork without causing disruption to ongoing transport.
All eyes are now on the April 17 hearing, where officials from the railway and bridge construction departments will directly address public concerns.
This isn’t just infrastructure—it’s progress. With reduced travel times, safer crossings, and better traffic flow, the project marks a significant shift toward smart urban development in Bihar.
