Patna is set to host an exciting event that will bring together India’s brightest sports stars! The Sportstar Sports Conclave – Focus Bihar will take place on January 26, 2025, in Patna. This day-long event will feature Olympic champions, Paralympians, and leading sports figures who will share their experiences and discuss the future of sports in Bihar.
Vijender Singh, the Olympic bronze medal-winning boxer, will headline the event. Joining him will be Sharad Kumar, a double-Paralympic medalist, and Deepa Malik, former PCI chief. Harendra Singh, the head coach of the Indian women’s hockey team, and Kalyan Chaubey, president of AIFF, will also share their insights on shaping the future of Indian sports.
These sports legends will inspire and motivate attendees, offering valuable lessons on their journey to success.
The Sportstar Conclave – Focus Bihar will also feature key government figures. B. Rajender, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Sports, Government of Bihar, will join the discussions. Raveendran Sankaran, the Director General and CEO of the Bihar State Sports Authority, will also be part of the event. Their presence highlights the state’s growing focus on sports development.
The conclave will shine a light on Bihar’s role in India’s booming e-sports sector. Nishi Kant (Chief Design & Product at JetSynthesys) and Akshat Rathee (Co-Founder, NODWIN Gaming) will engage in a conversation with Abhishek Issar (Founder, UNIV Sportatech & Co-Founder, Federation of Esports India). This panel will explore how e-sports can further grow in the region.
In addition to these key figures, many other prominent sports personalities will share their experiences. Shiva Keshavan, a veteran Winter Olympian, and Adille Sumariwalla, former president of AFI, will also take the stage. Aditi Mutatkar, a well-known shuttler, will contribute to the discussions too.
The conclave will recognize two exceptional athletes. The Unsung Champion Award will honor a lifetime achievement in sports. Meanwhile, the Young Achiever Award will celebrate a promising under-18 athlete.
The event will kick off with an inaugural address from Samrat Chaudhary, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister. Later, Nitish Kumar, the Honourable Chief Minister of Bihar, will deliver the closing remarks.
