Bihar’s women athletes have once again proven their strength and determination on a national stage. The Bihar women’s kabaddi team triumphed at the Civil Services Kabaddi Tournament, held in New Delhi from January 3 to January 8, 2025. The team claimed the All India Championship with a spectacular 45-23 victory over Himachal Pradesh in the final, marking a historic achievement for Bihar.
Rashmi Kumari, a star player from the Department of Information and Public Relations, led the team with skill and determination. Her leadership played a crucial role in their victory, securing the gold medal and bringing pride to both her department and the entire state of Bihar. Her exceptional performance on the field showcased the talent and resilience of women athletes from Bihar.
Rashmi’s success received recognition from top officials, including Vaibhav Srivastava, Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, Additional Secretary Sanjay Krishna, and Joint Director Ravi Bhushan Sahay. They all congratulated her for her outstanding achievement, acknowledging her contribution to Bihar’s success in the tournament.
The tournament, held at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in New Delhi, attracted 20 teams from across the country. Despite the fierce competition, Bihar’s women emerged victorious, proving that they can take on the best teams in the nation.
