Bihar’s Grand Sports Hosting Lineup for 2025: A New Era for Emerging Athletes

This year, the state will host seven monumental sports events, including the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup, Sepak Takraw World Cup, Khelo India Youth Games, and the prestigious Hero Men’s Asia Cup Hockey, putting Bihar firmly on the global sports map.

Unprecedented Sports Hosting

The sporting calendar for Bihar kicks off with the Sports Conclave 3.0 in January at Bapu Tower, Patna, followed by a thrilling lineup of events across Patna, Rajgir, and seven other key districts. For the first time, over 8,500 athletes will converge, showcasing their skills across 19 sports, including archery, football, volleyball, athletics, and more.

• SGFI Road Cycling Championship: 22-24 January at Atal Path, Patna.
• Women’s Kabaddi World Cup: 7-12 March at Rajgir Sports Complex, Nalanda.
• Sepak Takraw World Cup: 18-26 March at Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna.
• Khelo India Youth & Para Games: 14 April – 14 May across seven districts.
• Under-20 Rugby Sevens Asian Championship: 8-11 August at Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna.
• Hero Men’s Asia Cup Hockey: 28 August – 8 September at Rajgir Sports Complex.

Bihar is on the rise as a formidable sports hub. The Chief Secretary, Amrit Lal Meena, emphasized making these events as successful as the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024, which garnered nationwide praise.
