Bihar’s Rail Boost: Two New Amrit Bharat Express Trains Set to Transform Travel

Bihar is about to get faster and more affordable train travel. The Indian Railways is introducing two new Amrit Bharat Express trains. Thousands of daily commuters and migrant workers will benefit.

The new trains will link Bihar to major metropolitan hubs:

• Muzaffarpur to Charlapalli (Hyderabad): This train will give workers and travelers a direct, convenient connection to Hyderabad.

• Chhapra to Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi): Travelers from Chhapra will now reach Delhi more easily.

These trains will start operations soon, reducing congestion on existing routes and offering smoother journeys.

Key Features of Amrit Bharat Express

The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai designed these trains to run at a top speed of 130 km/h. They include non-AC sleeper and general coaches, making travel budget-friendly for many passengers.

Railways introduced these trains in regions with high worker movement and migration. Consequently, travelers no longer need to struggle in overcrowded general coaches.

Bihar’s Unique Role in Rail Connectivity

Bihar stands out as the only state with all three modern train variants: Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Namo Bharat.

Since many workers travel frequently to Delhi, Mumbai, and South India, adding more Amrit Bharat trains meets their needs. Sleeper and general coaches allow more passengers to travel comfortably while reducing stress and overcrowding.
