Bihar’s CBSE Stars Shine Bright in 2025: Stories That Inspire a Generation

क्या आपने देखा बिहार के टॉपर्स की मेहनत की उड़ान?
From the lanes of Madhepura to the classrooms of Patna, Bihar’s CBSE toppers in 2025 have rewritten the definition of success—with hard work, clarity, and quiet confidence.

Let’s break down how these young changemakers achieved this remarkable feat and what their success says about Bihar’s evolving academic map.

Class 12 Results: The Rise of Academic Titans

This year, 78.83% of Bihar’s Class 12 students passed the CBSE board exam—translating to 64,647 success stories. While 13,686 students couldn’t clear it, the focus remains on resilience and learning from failure.

Among the brightest:

  • Ankit Kumar from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bailey Road, aced the Science stream with 98.8%, becoming the state topper.

  • In Commerce, Abhinav of St. Michael’s High School secured 98%, reflecting the consistent quality of Patna’s premier private schools.

  • In Arts, Ritika Ranjan from St. Karen’s High School topped with 98.2%, a reminder that humanities students are no less capable.

These students aren’t just numbers—they’re the face of Bihar’s academic awakening.

Class 10 Results: Girls Lead the Way, Small Towns Steal the Show

This year, 91.78% students passed the Class 10 exam, with girls outperforming boys yet again.

  • 92.34% of girls cleared the exam compared to 91.43% of boys—a steady sign of empowerment in education.

Madhpura’s Srishti Shikha stole the spotlight with an outstanding 99.6%, securing her title as the Bihar State Topper.
Following closely:

  • Rishit Rajal from Muzaffarpur scored 99.2%, earning the second spot.

  • Students like Ashita Shandilya (St. Michael’s, Patna), Tanmal Kumar (DAV, BSEB), and Prem Kumar (Millia Convent, Purnia) scored 99%, sharing third place.

Clearly, talent isn’t confined to metros. Bihar’s towns are becoming education hubs.

📍 Regional Standings: Where Does Bihar Stand?

While individual performances have been stellar, Patna region stood at 14th place among CBSE zones in both 10th and 12th grade performances.

  • In Class 12, 82.86% of students in Patna region passed.

  • For Class 10, the region again stood 14th, slightly behind last year.

In contrast:

  • Vijayawada and Trivandrum topped Class 12 with 99.60% and 99.32%, respectively.

  • For Class 10, Trivandrum and Vijayawada again led with 99.79% results.

Bihar still has ground to cover—but with consistent mentorship and policy focus, a climb is inevitable.

Public Schools vs Private Schools: A Shift in Performance?

This year’s surprise came from Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, which outperformed several private institutions.
This shift suggests:

  • Quality education is becoming accessible, not exclusive.

  • More students from tier-2 and tier-3 cities are now in the spotlight.

 What Makes These Toppers Different?

Behind every topper is a story of sacrifice, discipline, and dreams.

  • Ankit Kumar credits his teachers at KV and structured daily revisions.

  • Srishti Shikha from Madhepura shared how sticking to NCERT books and practicing sample papers helped her stay focused.

Their message is clear: Consistency beats everything.

Bihar’s Academic Map Is Changing—Are You Watching?

From the rise of girls in STEM to the emergence of district toppers from lesser-known towns, Bihar is undergoing a quiet education revolution.

You don’t need to study in Delhi or Mumbai to top CBSE.
Bihar’s children are showing that grit and guidance can thrive right at home.
