The single most expensive project in this plan is the 20 km long bridge over the Gandak River between Bettiah (Bihar) and Sevrahi (Uttar Pradesh).
This new bridge, part of NH 727AA, comes with an allocation of ₹1800 crore. It includes approach roads and promises to slash travel time while boosting regional trade, agriculture, and mobility.

• Ease congestion on one of Patna’s busiest stretches

• Speed up access to AIIMS

• Make intra-city travel faster and more reliable

Kamla River Bridge: A ₹400 Cr Investment in Connectivity

A new four-lane bridge on Kamla River (NH 227) will get ₹400 crore. At just 2 km long, it will play a crucial role in streamlining logistics and local transit, especially in flood-prone zones of north Bihar.

Smaller Projects, Big Impact: 5 Bridges, 1 Vision

While three projects dominate the budget, the remaining five bridges—although smaller in funding—are vital for local accessibility and safety:

• Narayana Bridge (NH 333A) – ₹50 crore for repairs

• Mangobandar Bridge (NH 333A) – ₹50 crore for upgradation

• Sati Ghat Bridge (NH 333A) – ₹10 crore

• Magardahi Ghat Bridge (NH 322) – ₹65 crore for new construction

• Kataya Hydel Bridge (NH 131) – ₹75 crore

Each of these bridges will be constructed on the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) model—ensuring faster execution and accountability.
