Now Travel Easy: Chhapra to Mumbai Summer Special Train Announced

Indian Railways has just gifted something special to thousands of travelers between Chhapra and Mumbai. Starting this April, a weekly summer special train (Train No. 01029/01030) will run between Chhapra and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, offering greater convenience, comfort, and connectivity.

This summer special is a game-changer for those commuting across Bihar, UP, MP, and Maharashtra.


When Will This Train Run?

Let’s get the schedule straight:

  • Train No. 01029 (Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Chhapra)

    • Runs Every Sunday from April 13 to May 25

    • Departs from LTT at 10:55 PM

    • Reaches Chhapra by 1:15 PM on Tuesday

  • Train No. 01030 (Chhapra to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus)

    • Runs Every Tuesday from April 15 to May 27

    • Leaves Chhapra at 7:00 PM

    • Arrives at LTT by 8:00 AM on Thursday

What’s the Route?

This train covers a major cross-section of India. Here’s the key route:

  • From Mumbai (LTT) through Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, and Itarsi

  • Then onto Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, and Varanasi

  • Finally, via Jaunpur, Aunrihar, Ghazipur City, Ballia, it reaches Chhapra

The return route follows the same track, in reverse.

  • 8 AC II Tier Coaches

  • 10 AC III Tier Coaches

The Eastern Central Railway has also extended services of 6 special trains, including the popular Sampark Kranti Clone Special. Some key highlights:

  • Rajendra Nagar–New Delhi Clone Special (02393): Now runs 6 days a week (except Thursday) till June 30

  • Deolali–Danapur Mixed Unreserved Special: Extended till October 18

  • Saharsa–Lalitgram Special: Operational every Thursday till July 31
