Flyover News in Bihar: This City Is Quietly Racing Ahead—6 Flyovers Incoming!

You’ve heard about Patna. But what if we told you another city in Bihar is gearing up to become the next flyover capital? With six new flyovers and ROBs on the cards, this transformation promises to redefine how the city moves, grows, and connects.

While most still guess which city it is, preparations are already underway. Officials have completed land surveys, identified government land, and finalized estimates. Now, private land acquisition is the final step before construction begins.

People Demanded, The Government Responded

The momentum began with repeated appeals from locals in Manpur’s Patwatoli area, backed strongly by social and weaver communities. For years, traffic congestion choked the city’s daily life.

Instead of turning a blind eye, the state government acted swiftly. After granting approval, they launched technical surveys and finalized the Detailed Project Report (DPR) without delay. The result? A transformation plan ready to roll.

Six Flyovers That Will Reshape the City

Here’s how the city’s roadmap will change:

  • A major flyover will connect Manpur’s six-lane bridge directly to the Gaya–Nawada Road near Mehta Petrol Pump.

  • Another stretch will run 700 meters from Mufassil Mode to Khijarsarai Road.

  • A third section will link the new Jagjivan College building on Sitakund Road.

The total estimated cost is ₹350 crore, and construction starts by May 2025, according to DM Dr. Tyagarajan S.M..

Why These Flyovers Matter

Beyond easing traffic, these flyovers are expected to boost tourism. The city will become more accessible from Rajgir, Bodh Gaya, and Vishnupad Temple, making travel easier for both locals and visitors.

Moreover, shorter commutes will reduce fuel consumption, stress, and pollution—a win for both people and the planet.

Work Already in Motion

Land measurement is already complete for the ROB at Bageshwari Gumti and the Ghughritand flyover. Officials have marked government lands first to avoid delays. Now, they’re moving forward with private land acquisition.

This time, the administration isn’t waiting for things to fall into place—they’re making it happen.

Don’t Miss What Happens Next

From city makeovers to rising tourism hubs, Bihar is evolving faster than ever. And this story is just one part of the bigger picture.
