Come 15th August, a new chapter begins in Bihar’s transformation journey as Purnia will finally take flight—literally! Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced that air services from Purnia will kick off on Independence Day. This isn’t just big news—it’s a turning point.
In a state that’s hustling hard toward connectivity and opportunity, this step unlocks the skies for Purnia’s people. Imagine boarding a flight from Purnia without travelling to Patna or Bagdogra. That future? It’s arriving in a few months.
Let’s talk roadways now. With the ₹6000 crore Patna–Purnia Expressway under construction, travel time between the two major cities will shrink to just 3 hours.
This isn’t just infrastructure; it’s access. It means faster commutes, stronger business ties, smoother emergency transfers, and overall, a smarter, more connected Bihar.
And guess what? This mega project is fully greenlit by the Centre. Progress is no longer a promise. It’s here, it’s visible, and it’s moving fast.
In Kishanganj’s K Nagar block, plans are also underway for a cold storage facility for vegetables—ideal for storing high-volume produce efficiently. And that’s not all. A new degree college is on the cards too, bringing education right to the doorstep of aspiring students in the region.
Meanwhile, the State Government is pushing hard on dairy development, aiming to open milk production centres in every block of Bihar. That’s a bold and inclusive move for rural upliftment.
For too long, Bihar’s floods have been a recurring nightmare. But now, the Centre has finally approved the Kosi-Mechi River Interlinking Project, designed to provide long-term relief from annual flooding.
Add to that the Khargpur-Reservoir and Ganga Water Supply Projects, and you have a blueprint for lasting water security. Already, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary have surveyed major zones like Khargpur Lake and Barnaar Reservoir.
From inaugurating the Rajkiya Maa Kamakhya Mahotsav to overseeing critical reviews in places like Bhawanipur Panchayat, the government is pushing development at every level. Ministers like Leshi Singh and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary are actively steering forward momentum.
Make no mistake—Bihar is not what it was five years ago. Under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar, a new Bihar is being built on pillars of connectivity, self-sufficiency, and opportunity for all.
