Madhubani’s Industrial Revolution: From Abandoned Paper Mill to Thriving Green Zone

Madhubani is witnessing a remarkable transformation. The abandoned Jhanjharpur paper mill will soon become a modern green industrial hub. This initiative will revive the local economy, create thousands of jobs, and attract investors.

A Major Step Towards Industrial Growth

The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) is leading this ambitious project. With an investment of ₹27.35 crore, the first phase will develop 56,586 square feet of industrial space. Moreover, the Plug and Play model ensures that businesses can start operations immediately. As a result, industries will flourish, and employment will rise.

Expanding for More Opportunities

To meet growing demands, the Bihar government has approved the acquisition of 252.23 acres in Lohana. Consequently, this expansion will provide more space for industries while boosting economic activity. Additionally, with new opportunities, youth will no longer have to migrate for jobs.

A Dream Turning Into Reality

The idea of a paper mill in Jhanjharpur began in the 1980s, yet it never materialized. Now, this land will finally serve a greater purpose—an eco-friendly industrial hub. Not only will this initiative drive industrial growth, but it will also promote sustainability.
