Patna is Rising: Three New Five-Star Hotels to Redefine Bihar Tourism

Patna is about to experience a major change in its hospitality sector. The city is getting three new five-star hotels, which will revolutionize Bihar’s tourism and meet the growing demand from tourists and industries.

To meet the rising need for top-quality accommodation, the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) has launched the process to build three luxury five-star hotels in Patna. This move comes in response to an increase in tourism and industrial growth, promising a new era for Bihar tourism.

Prime Locations for the New Hotels

The three hotels will be built in key locations in Patna to cater to both business and leisure travelers:

  • Hotel Patliputra Ashok: Located on 1.50 acres of land on Bir Chand Patel Path.
  • Sultan Palace Complex: A heritage hotel on 4.89 acres of land on Bir Chand Patel Path.
  • Bankipur Bus Stand Complex: This will house a five-star hotel on 3.24 acres of land.

These hotels will offer modern facilities while maintaining the historical charm of the Sultan Palace, ensuring a perfect blend of heritage and contemporary design.

Economic Growth and Job Creation

These hotels will provide high-end services to tourists while boosting the local economy. The construction will create numerous job opportunities, and the influx of visitors will further stimulate economic activity. Each hotel will feature over 400 rooms to accommodate the increasing number of travelers.

Tender Process for Developers

The tender process for developers began on January 7, 2025, and will run until February 10, 2025. Interested developers can download the necessary documents from the official website www.eproc2.bihar.gov.in . The technical bids will open on February 11, 2025, and a pre-bid meeting is set for January 21, 2025.

Merging Heritage and Modern Design

The Sultan Palace, known for its historical importance, will be carefully restored and transformed into a heritage hotel. Meanwhile, the Patliputra Ashok and Bankipur Bus Stand hotels will feature modern infrastructure to meet the demands of today’s travelers.

Bihar’s Bold Step Towards Tourism Growth

This project marks a significant step in positioning Bihar on the national and international tourism map. The new five-star hotels in Patna will address the growing demand for quality accommodations and attract more industrial investments.

Developers will receive a 90-year lease to operate the hotels, with a 30-year automatic renewal option after the first 60 years. This long-term plan ensures the sustainability and success of the project.
