7 Villages. 1 Game-Changing Road. How This New Four-Lane Is Quietly Transforming Bihar’s Future
A New Lifeline: Bihar’s Fast-Tracked Four-Lane to Connect Bhagalpur to Jharkhand
“बदलाव की शुरुआत सड़कों से होती है”—and in Bihar, this transformation is happening one highway at a time.
A new four-lane highway is on the horizon, and it’s not just about asphalt—it’s about accessibility, commerce, and a faster route to progress. This upcoming stretch will directly connect Bhagalpur in Bihar to Hansdiha in Jharkhand. That means faster travel, smoother logistics, and a big push toward rural development.
Land Acquisition in Full Swing: 406 Landowners Impacted
To turn this vision into reality, land acquisition is already in motion. In Banka district, the process is gathering pace between Aliganj Bypass Thana and Dhakamod, covering Km 117 to 134—a total of 40.072 hectares.
As per the recent gazette notification, the government will acquire private land from 406 landowners across 7 villages in the Chandan and Katoria blocks. This also includes government plots, fallow lands, residential properties, and even a Kali temple.
The affected residents have been granted a 21-day window from the gazette release date to file objections. They can submit their responses in writing to the local land acquisition office, after which the designated authority will handle the redressal.
Why This Road Really Matters
This is more than just another infrastructure project. Here’s what it brings to the table:
-
Boosted Connectivity: Travel between Bihar and Jharkhand will become smoother and faster.
-
Business Growth: Enhanced logistics will uplift trade, agriculture, and small businesses.
-
Local Development: Better roads bring better access to schools, hospitals, and jobs.
This four-lane isn’t just laying concrete—it’s laying the groundwork for sustainable growth. Once the acquisition is finalized, construction will commence swiftly, turning this blueprint into a lifeline.
7 Villages Set to Witness Major Change
The seven villages in Chandan and Katoria blocks now find themselves on the map of development. While change often comes with resistance, this transformation promises new opportunities for the generations to come.
