Bihar’s Big Leap in Education: New Degree Colleges to Open in 8 Districts, 526 New Appointments Approved

When dreams get wings, futures change! In a historic move for Bihar’s youth, the state government has announced the opening of new degree colleges in Bihar, across eight key districts including Madhubani. 🚀

Let’s dive into what this means for Bihar’s educational landscape!

8 New Degree Colleges to Empower Students

On Tuesday, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, a crucial Bihar Cabinet meeting stamped approval on 34 big agendas. Among them, the decision to open new degree colleges in 8 districts is creating waves of excitement.

The chosen districts are:

  • Madhubani

  • Goraul

  • Shamho

  • Imamganj

  • Adhaura

  • Katoria

  • Asarganj

  • Chakai

Each college will have a dedicated Principal, along with 422 teaching staff and 104 non-teaching staff, bringing the total number of new jobs to 526!

Isn’t that a massive boost for both education and employment in Bihar?

Strengthening Local Education Infrastructure

Moreover, these colleges will not only create job opportunities but also strengthen local academic frameworks.
Earlier, during the April 8 cabinet meeting, the state government had already approved over 27,000 new appointments across various departments, proving its strong commitment to Bihar’s development.

This decision today will certainly uplift rural and semi-urban students, helping them access quality higher education close to their hometowns.

Clearly, Bihar is setting a new example for other states to follow!

More Airports? Yes, That’s on the Horizon Too!

The same cabinet meeting also discussed the possibility of new airports in:

  • Madhubani

  • Veerpur

  • Munger

  • Valmikinagar

  • Bhagalpur

  • Saharsa

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) will conduct a detailed feasibility study, with ₹2.43 crore sanctioned for the process.
This move could soon bring Bihar even closer to the skies, making it a major growth engine in Eastern India.

Education and Employment: The Twin Engines of Bihar’s Future

The opening of new degree colleges and potential airports signals a holistic development vision.
Where education will empower the youth, infrastructure will fuel dreams further.
