Bihar’s youth just received a game-changing opportunity! On October 4, 2025, Prime Minister @narendramodi inaugurated the Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Skill University, a historic step in skill-based education and employment in the state.

Bihar’s Leap into Skill-Based Education

The university will revolutionize vocational training and employment opportunities. It will offer technical and vocational education, while promoting entrepreneurship, research, and innovation. This initiative complements Bihar’s Saat Nischay Part 1 and 2 schemes and helps youth compete nationally and internationally.

Moreover, the university will affiliate with various skill institutes, conduct exams, and confer degrees. These steps will equip Bihar’s youth with skills needed in today’s competitive job market.

4,000 Youth Receive Appointment Letters

At the same time, 4,000 candidates selected by the Labour Resources Department received appointment letters at Bapu Sabhagar, Patna. The government aims to connect 1 crore youth with jobs and self-employment opportunities in the next five years.

Ministers including Health Minister Mangal Pandey and Labour Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Singh emphasized that Bihar is creating new employment pathways. Additionally, a high-level committee will soon draft a five-year jobs policy for the state.

Leadership and Vision Behind the Initiative

The inauguration featured Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, and senior state ministers including Union Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha. University leaders, such as Vice Chancellor Deepak Anand and Registrar Rajesh Bharti, actively participated in the launch.

A senior official said, “The university and today’s appointment letters reflect our commitment to building a skilled, self-reliant, and progressive Bihar.” This initiative demonstrates Bihar’s ambition to become a hub for skilled talent.

A Transformational Step for Bihar’s Youth

The university opens doors for thousands of youth to enter the workforce confidently. By merging education, skills, and employment, Bihar bridges the gap between potential and opportunity. Furthermore, structured skill development sets an example for other states in India.
