Bhagalpur is about to witness a major infrastructure upgrade. A state-of-the-art railway bridge, built at a cost of ₹52 crore, is ready for public use in Naugachia. This project promises to reshape travel and access in the region, offering long-awaited relief to commuters.
Constructed by the Railway Department in collaboration with the Bridge Corporation, the bridge links Naugachia Bazaar with Harnath Chowk. Residents heading to the market, subdivision hospital, or nearby areas will now experience smoother, faster, and safer travel. For many, it means fewer delays and better access to essential services.
The bridge includes a 75-meter railway span, a 330-meter connecting road, and a 480-meter-long bridge structure. Together, these elements make it one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the district. Local administration officials have inspected the site to ensure every detail is in place before opening.
The momentum in Naugachia does not stop with this bridge. An ₹41 crore Rail Overbridge (ROB) near Makandpur is almost complete, measuring 882 meters in length. This will further reduce congestion and enhance connectivity for residents and businesses alike.
Alongside this, a ₹24 crore sports complex and stadium is planned near Zero Mile. Spread across two acres, this upcoming facility aims to create new opportunities for sports and youth development in the area.
Residents and shopkeepers in Naugachia are already excited about the positive changes these projects will bring. From easier market access to faster hospital routes, the benefits will touch daily lives. Traders expect higher footfall, while students and athletes are looking forward to a new hub of activities once the sports complex is built.
