Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced that the fund will cover the maintenance of 66 gates, hoisting systems, cranes, and other key equipment between 2025 and 2030. This means smoother operations, fewer risks during floods, and a stronger irrigation backbone for Bihar.
Importantly, the plan includes repainting platforms, repairing gates, modernizing hoisting arrangements, and fixing worn-out machines. These may sound like technical upgrades, but for farmers, they translate to uninterrupted water supply and crop safety.
