From 0 to 52,000 Students: How One Woman Turned Setback Into a Startup Powerhouse in Bihar
“No one stood by me, so I decided to stand for myself.”
That’s not just a statement. It’s a decision that changed the course of Hansa Sinha’s life—and of Bihar’s startup story.
From a determined student of Mass Communication in Patna to a resilient entrepreneur building ventures in HR, IT, and creative consulting, Hansa’s journey reflects the grit that Bihar breeds, even when the system leaves you behind.
In 2011, Hansa Sinha co-founded Genesys Consulting with Parimal Madhup, following a bitter fallout from a government recruitment project.
Originally part of a distributed assignment between the two, the local team withdrew support midway and the head office failed to intervene. Hansa found herself stranded. But instead of folding, she forged ahead.
That turning point gave birth to Genesys Consulting—a Patna-based firm that today offers top-tier HR, IT, and project consulting services across corporates, PSUs, government departments, and NGOs.
Genesys Consulting didn’t just survive adversity—it turned into a benchmark for large-scale delivery.
The company executed a statewide OMR-based aptitude test for 52,000 students across Bihar, handling everything from operations to result generation and certification. The project spanned six months and proved that young entrepreneurs from Bihar could deliver at scale.
Now active in Jharkhand as well, Genesys continues to blend process precision with people-centric execution.
While leading Genesys, Hansa caught the attention of a senior IAS officer in Bihar, who saw a spark beyond numbers and systems. “He asked me if I could build something more visual, something with soul,” she remembers.
That encouragement led to her second venture—Creative Imprints, a creative branding and event management company.
In one of her earliest projects, Hansa transformed a government event stage into a celestial-themed experience—complete with stars, planets, and galaxies. It was a bold concept that won hearts, headlines, and awards.
By 2018, Creative Imprints had already:
Designed the state’s most prestigious event, Bihar Diwas
Managed visual themes for Shiksha Diwas
Built Republic Day and Independence Day tableaus
Delivered innovative installations for public celebrations in Patna
As Creative Imprints completed 5 years in 2018, Hansa began planning major changes—team expansion, service diversification, and office upgrades.
Her journey underscores something crucial: that true growth doesn’t just mean starting a company. It means rebuilding every time you’re told “you can’t.”
From a solo warrior abandoned in a project, Hansa has become the force behind two high-impact ventures reshaping Bihar’s professional and creative landscape.
If you’re stuck, sidelined, or simply waiting for a sign—this is it. Hansa’s path wasn’t paved in support or privilege. She carved it herself, with courage and purpose.
