When Progress Takes the Highway: Bihar Gears Up for a Game-Changing Infrastructure Leap

Bihar’s Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin recently shared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch these groundbreaking projects during his two-day visit to Bihar starting May 29. This includes both foundation stone laying and project inaugurations.

Here are some of the key projects:

• Patna-Gaya-Dobhi Highway (NH-122) – ₹5519 crore
• Patna-Ara-Sasaram Corridor (NH-119) – ₹3712 crore
• Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Route – ₹5994 crore
• Ramnagar to Kacchi Dargah Section (NH-119D) – ₹1083 crore
• Buxar to Bharouli Ganga River 4-lane Bridge (NH-922) – ₹531 crore
• Gopalganj Elevated Road – ₹249 crore

 Not Just Roads: Bihar’s Sky is Expanding Too

Along with the roads, aviation infrastructure is getting a major upgrade. PM Modi will inaugurate:

• The new terminal at Patna Airport worth ₹1200 crore
• Dormitories and staff quarters at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya built at a cost of ₹8 crore

These upgrades will make travel smoother and bring Bihar closer to the rest of the country – both physically and economically.

 Powering the Future: Energy & Aviation

The Prime Minister will also launch the foundation stone for:

• Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project Stage-2 in Aurangabad
• Bihta Airport Civil Enclave, adding wings to Bihar’s aviation dreams
