The Boy from Jamui Who Took Bihar Global – Abhishek Kumar’s ₹2.07 Crore Leap with Google

What does it take for a boy from a small village in Bihar, once living in a mud house, to land a ₹2.07 crore job at Google’s London office? Just one name: Abhishek Kumar. His story isn’t just inspiring—it’s game-changing.

A Dream Born in Jamui, Soaring to London

Abhishek Kumar, the youngest son of a civil court lawyer and a homemaker from Jamui, Bihar, has rewritten the dreams of small-town India. With unwavering consistency and deep-rooted ambition, he’s secured a record-breaking salary package from Google and is set to join their London office in October.

“I’m very excited to move to the beautiful city,” said Abhishek in an interview. “This is a big achievement for me and my family. I’ve always dreamed of becoming a software engineer at a global company.”

From Amazon to Google: A Journey of Grit

Before bagging the dream job at Google, Abhishek worked at Amazon from August 2022 to March 2023. Later, he joined a German Investment Bank in May, working in the foreign investment trading unit. Even with demanding work hours, he carved out time for his interview preparation.

“I used to work 8–9 hours daily but made sure to study for interviews every night,” he shared. “A clear strategy, strong coding skills, and thorough preparation for behavioral questions made all the difference.”

No Coaching, Just Consistency

Unlike many others, Abhishek didn’t rely on expensive coaching. Instead, he focused on self-study, problem-solving platforms, and building real experience. “Cracking Google interviews isn’t about luck. It’s about dedication and consistency,” he emphasized.

He believes every student, even those from rural India, can aim high. “If you are focused and consistent, even a small town like Jamui can produce global achievers.”

A Story Rooted in Struggle, Rising in Success

Abhishek’s early life paints a picture of hardship. “We used to live in a mud house,” he recalled. “Today, I am building a new home with my earnings. That’s my biggest reward.”

His story is not just about personal success—it’s about breaking stereotypes, proving that brilliance isn’t limited by geography. Bihar’s youth are capable of competing on the world stage when given the right motivation and mindset.

Meet the Family Behind the Success

Abhishek’s father, Indradev Yadav, works as a lawyer at Jamui Civil Court. His mother, Manju Devi, is a homemaker. He credits his success to his family—especially his elder brother—for their unwavering support.

“I owe this to my parents and brother. Their belief in me never wavered,” he said.
