After Ayodhya, Now Sitamarhi! Janaki Temple to Be Built for Free — A Historic Gift to Bihar

A Temple Built with Devotion, Not Charges

In an announcement that left the crowd in awe, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha declared something incredible. The agency that built Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir will now construct the Janaki Temple in Sitamarhi’s Punaura village — completely free of charge.

No bills. No contracts. Only devotion.

He revealed this during the Janaki Navami Mahotsav’s grand opening night. The air buzzed with chants, cheers, and cultural pride.

Plans to Expand: 50 Acres for Punaura Dham

To support this spiritual revival, the state government will soon acquire 50 acres around Punaura village. This land will be developed into a vast spiritual corridor.

This move isn’t just about religion. It’s a part of Bihar’s plan to become a major religious tourism hub in India.

And yes, the funds have already been allocated. The commitment is real.

A Mahotsav Like Never Before

This year’s Janaki Navami Mahotsav saw record-breaking pilgrim numbers in Sitamarhi and even in Janakpur Dham, Nepal.

From spiritual chants to star-studded performances, the atmosphere stayed magical.
The evening featured stunning acts by:

  • Sona Mahapatra (Singer)

  • Maithili Thakur (Folk Star)

  • Soma Mandal (Bharatanatyam Icon)

Their energy turned the event into an unforgettable cultural memory.

Sitamarhi’s Sacred Makeover: Bihar’s Bold Spiritual Statement

What Ayodhya did for Ram, Sitamarhi is now doing for Sita. With no construction fee, national talent, and dedicated land, the Janaki Temple project will reshape Bihar’s spiritual identity.

And most importantly, it proves something deeper—faith still drives change.
