New Chapter in Bihar Education: 36,968 Newly Appointed Teachers Allotted Schools Across 28 Districts, Joining Deadline Set for May 15
In a major step towards improving the education system in Bihar, the Education Department has allotted schools to 36,968 newly appointed teachers selected through the BPSC TRE 3 (Teacher Recruitment Examination). The posting process has been completed in 28 districts, bringing thousands of fresh educators into the government school system.
School Posting Completed for 21,440 Teachers in 14 Districts
On Monday, the department released the district-wise school allotment list for 21,440 teachers. All teachers must join their assigned schools by May 15, 2025.

With this, the total number of teachers allotted schools has reached 36,968 out of the 51,389 selected through TRE 3.
Joining by May 15 Is Mandatory
Dr. S. Siddhartha, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, clarified that all teachers must join their allotted schools by May 15.
“This is the teacher’s first official posting. Joining is mandatory, even if there are logistical difficulties,” he stated.
Teachers facing challenges can request transfers later through their District Education Officers (DEO).
Provisional Appointment Letters Already Issued
The provisional appointment letters for all selected teachers were distributed on March 9, 2025. Now that school postings have begun, this marks the final step before they begin their teaching journey.
Remaining Postings to Be Completed Soon
Postings for the remaining teachers (out of 51,389) are expected to be finalized by Tuesday, ensuring a timely start to the academic calendar across all districts.
