The air is electric at Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan as Bihar Diwas 2025 kicks off with a five-day celebration. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, along with Deputy CMs Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, set the event in motion. They released balloons, officially marking the beginning of a grand spectacle.
This year’s theme, ‘Unnat Bihar, Viksit Bihar’ (Advanced Bihar, Developed Bihar), reflects the state’s commitment to progress and innovation. With immersive exhibitions, high-tech displays, and a showcase of Bihar’s past and future, this event is a must-visit!
Visitors are in for a treat as 3D replicas of Bihar’s most iconic landmarks create an immersive experience. These include Mahabodhi Temple, Nalanda University, Vishwa Shanti Stupa, and Takht Sri Harimandir Patna Sahib. Moreover, the Department of Art, Culture, and Youth Affairs has set up an engaging stall. It details achievements and future plans to boost Bihar’s cultural influence worldwide.
Numerous government departments have installed stalls to provide firsthand information about ongoing schemes. Among them, the Labour Resources Department is drawing significant attention. It features a live model of the Centre of Excellence (CoE), developed in collaboration with Tata Tech. This high-tech hub showcases robotics, IoT, electric vehicles, 3D printing, and AR/VR technology. Notably, the goal is to equip Bihar’s youth with future-ready skills and job opportunities.
The Transport Department has taken an innovative approach. It has organized free vehicle check-ups, awareness programs, and an exhibition featuring electric vehicles, CNG models, and cutting-edge auto tech. Additionally, AI-driven demonstrations, puppet shows, and interactive exhibits emphasize road safety and accident prevention.
For students, there’s an exclusive bus pass offer to make travel more accessible and affordable. Furthermore, a painting and slogan-writing competition on road safety promises exciting rewards. Winners will receive helmets, keychains, and reflective bands!
Before the formal inauguration, CM Nitish Kumar explored the grand exhibition, which highlighted Bihar’s remarkable development journey. Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, Dr. S. Siddharth, welcomed him with a book. This moment symbolized Bihar’s commitment to knowledge and growth.
