Bihar Set to Get Three New Zoos! Job Opportunities in the Cooperative Sector
Bihar is stepping up its game in wildlife conservation and tourism! The state government has announced the opening of three new zoos in Sasaram, Gaya, and Jamui. Currently, Bihar houses two zoos—Patna Zoo (Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park) and Rajgir Zoo Safari. Additionally, another is under construction in Araria. With this expansion, Bihar will soon boast a total of six zoos, enhancing its biodiversity efforts and providing an exciting recreational space for nature lovers.
The addition of these zoos is a significant step toward preserving wildlife while boosting tourism in Bihar. More visitors mean increased revenue for the state, as well as greater awareness about environmental conservation. This move is expected to generate new employment opportunities, benefiting local communities.
In another major development, Dr. Prem Kumar, Bihar’s Cooperation Minister, announced the recruitment of 1,000 positions in the Cooperative Department. This came as part of his budget speech in the Bihar Assembly, where he also detailed the approval of ₹1,232 crore for the department’s annual budget.
✅ Massive Employment Boost: 1,000 vacancies to be filled soon. ✅ Agricultural Growth: The government aims to procure 2 lakh tons of wheat this year at ₹2,425 per quintal. ✅ Procurement Process: 1 lakh tons will be purchased by PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies) and the Trade Board.
This recruitment drive will strengthen Bihar’s cooperative sector, ensuring efficient operations and better support for farmers.
The new zoos and job openings signal significant progress for the state. On one hand, the wildlife initiative promotes tourism and biodiversity conservation. On the other, the Cooperative Department’s recruitment drive ensures economic stability and growth. These steps are clear indicators of Bihar’s commitment to development.
