Patna’s 143-Foot Ardhanarishwar Statue: A Spiritual Marvel in the Making
Patna is on the verge of creating history! A colossal 143-foot Ardhanarishwar statue is rising in Chandasi village, celebrating the divine balance of masculine and feminine energies. Once completed, it will be the tallest statue of its kind in the world.
A Vision Taking Shape in Chandasi
Chandasi village, just 25 kilometers from Patna, is home to this ambitious project. The statue, standing 108 feet tall on a 35-foot pedestal, reflects the harmonious fusion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Work began in 2022, and by 2027, this landmark will transform the village into a major spiritual destination.
Master Artisans at Work
A team of 40 to 50 artisans, under the guidance of Maharashtra-based sculptor Dattatrikal, is sculpting this masterpiece. Using a durable mix of concrete and marble powder, they are ensuring both longevity and intricate detailing. Unlike commercial projects, this monument relies on donations from devotees and local supporters, making it a true community effort.
Ardhanarishwar’s Deep Spiritual Meaning
Ardhanarishwar represents the seamless union of opposites—masculine and feminine, power and grace, strength and compassion. This form of Shiva and Parvati symbolizes balance, reminding us that both energies are essential in life.
A Global Landmark in the Making
Once completed, this statue will surpass Johannesburg’s 66-foot Ardhanarishwar statue, making it the tallest in the world. Bihar will gain a new spiritual attraction, drawing devotees and tourists from across the globe.
