Bihar is witnessing an era of transformation with 1,714 new development projects launched as part of the Pragati Yatra. These projects, worth ₹1,437.96 crore, span multiple sectors, strengthening infrastructure, public welfare, and economic growth across the state.

Major Projects Announced

During his visit to Gaya, the government laid the foundation and inaugurated various development projects, ensuring holistic progress in urban and rural areas. Here’s a breakdown of the key projects:

Urban and Infrastructure Development

  • Gaya Municipal Corporation: Three major schemes worth ₹405.11 lakh.
  • Public Health and Engineering: A key project in Sherghati valued at ₹98.61 lakh.
  • Building Construction Department: Projects worth ₹12,526.95 lakh to enhance public facilities.
  • Bihar Police Building Construction Department: Projects totaling ₹2,901.36 lakh to improve law enforcement infrastructure.
  • Road Construction Department:
    • Three major road projects under the Gaya division (₹1,773.75 lakh).
    • Two road projects in Sherghati division (₹2,897.63 lakh).
    • Rural road development across various divisions (₹3,085.67 lakh combined).

Agriculture, Fisheries & Rural Development

  • Fisheries Department: Nine projects worth ₹104.63 lakh to support fish farmers.
  • Agriculture Department: 30 projects worth ₹129.35 lakh for modern farming.
  • MNREGA (Employment Generation): 137 schemes under the program worth ₹1,534.26 lakh.
  • Backward & Extremely Backward Class Welfare: One project worth ₹3,789.59 lakh to uplift marginalized communities.

Healthcare & Education

  • Civil Surgeon Office: 11 healthcare initiatives with an investment of ₹44.57 lakh.
  • Education Department: Six projects worth ₹183.32 lakh to enhance learning infrastructure.
  • Horticulture Department: Five schemes totaling ₹76.71 lakh.

Rural Connectivity & Public Works

  • Panchayati Raj Department: Two projects worth ₹225.47 lakh.
  • Rural Works Department:
    • Sherghati division – Five projects (₹385.76 lakh).
    • Imamganj division – 12 projects (₹986.47 lakh).
    • Nimchak Bathani division – Six projects (₹417.65 lakh).
    • Amas block – 16 schemes (₹83.58 lakh).

Water Resources & Irrigation

  • Forest Division: Three projects worth ₹1,012.30 lakh.
  • Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation: Two projects totaling ₹993.66 lakh.
  • Engineering Department (Sherghati): 10 projects with ₹296.60 lakh allocation.
