Bihar Welcomes a New Era of Rail Connectivity

Railways just made commuting in Bihar smoother than ever! With the launch of new passenger trains on key routes—Patna-Gaya, Gaya-DDU, and Raxaul-Jayanagar—the East Central Railway (ECR) has stepped up to ease travel woes for thousands of daily passengers. Whether you’re commuting for work, visiting family, or exploring the region, these new services promise to make your journey more efficient and reliable.

Enhanced Connectivity on Key Routes

Starting January 23, the Gaya-Patna special (03667/03668) is operational every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This new addition to the busy Patna-Gaya corridor will be a huge relief for commuters seeking timely and comfortable travel options.

For those traveling on the Gaya-DDU route, the one-way special train (03699) now runs every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, offering increased frequency until March 5. This vital route connects two crucial towns and supports seamless connectivity for residents.

Meanwhile, the Raxaul-Jayanagar DEMU passenger service (75215/75216), starting from January 26, adds more convenience for travelers. Departing Raxaul at 7:35 PM and reaching Jayanagar by 3:10 AM, the return journey begins at 3:35 AM, ensuring passengers have options for overnight travel.

Restored Train Services

In addition to the newly launched trains, the railways have restored several passenger services. Commuters can now benefit from the Gaya-Patna MEMU (63242/63245), the Gaya-Patna special (03667/03668), and the Gaya-Kuil passenger (53634/53635). These services are perfect for those relying on consistent and affordable rail travel.
