Imagine barren land turning into a lush green oasis. For the 150 farmers of Banka, this dream became a reality. Together, they transformed 200 acres of dry, lifeless soil into a thriving green haven. A story of resilience, community effort, and sustainability – where hard work bloomed like flowers in the desert.
Five years ago, these farmers planted 200 mango trees on once-barren land. Seeing hope sprout, they expanded their efforts by adding 800 more mango and amla saplings. Their determination didn’t stop there. With the help of ponds, wells, and solar-powered pumps, the land flourished.
Today, this green belt does not just yield fruits but also restores faith in rural development. The success story has inspired 50 more farmers to take up farming. Migration from villages has reduced significantly, as families find livelihoods right at their doorstep.
The transformation is more than just economic; it’s environmental. Acres of mango orchards now stand tall, improving the local ecosystem and offering a sustainable income source. The results? An annual harvest worth 12-13 lakh rupees.
What makes this story extraordinary is its ripple effect. Villagers who once walked miles for work are now reaping fruits of success in their own fields. Banka farmers have proven that collective effort and resource management can turn even the most barren land into a treasure.
