Datta, PRO of Eastern Railway, both metro and Vande Bharat trains use ICF (Integral Coach Factory) coaches, and Jamalpur Workshop is fully capable of constructing and maintaining them. On August 6th, P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager of Metro Rail, visited the Jamalpur Workshop for an inspection. Impressed by the facility, he noted that while the metro has its own workshops, the capabilities of Jamalpur make it an ideal candidate for metro and Vande Bharat train maintenance. With its long-standing expertise in handling ICF coaches, Jamalpur is more than equipped for the task, and this opens up exciting possibilities for Bihar.
