Bihar’s Big Leap: 7700 Acres Approved for 17 New Industrial Parks

When Bihar takes a step, it does so with intent. The state government has approved 7,700 acres of land acquisition to create 17 new industrial parks. With an investment of more than ₹3,500 crore, this move is set to reshape Bihar’s industrial map.

Why This Matters for Bihar’s Future

The government is building more than parks; it is building confidence. Each site will include boundary walls, paved roads, water supply, sewage systems, and electrification. With these facilities in place, entrepreneurs can set up businesses without delays.

Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena directed district officials to complete the acquisition quickly. At the same time, he assured that farmers would receive fair compensation on time. This balance between growth and fairness makes the initiative stand out.

Parks Positioned Along Highways for Better Access

The new industrial parks will rise along national highways and expressways. This strategic location ensures industries enjoy faster logistics, easier transportation, and better connectivity.

Moreover, the Industrial Development Authority will prepare the infrastructure in advance. By doing so, Bihar avoids the usual hurdles investors face and builds trust in its system.

Gaya and Vaishali to Lead as Mega Industrial Hubs

Among the 17 sites, Gaya will host the largest park on 1,700 acres south of GT Road. Close behind, Vaishali’s Rajapakar will host another giant hub across 1,100 acres. Both regions are expected to attract large-scale industries that can generate thousands of jobs.

So far, BIADA (Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority) has acquired nearly 8,000 acres since independence. With this fresh approval, the state is almost doubling its industrial land capacity in one stroke.

Social Impact and Big Business Commitments

To ensure development remains inclusive, the government appointed agencies for social impact assessments. These studies will measure how communities benefit and how challenges are managed.

During the last Bihar Business Connect, officials signed 423 agreements with entrepreneurs. These agreements represent investments worth ₹1.8 lakh crore. Once the new parks are ready, investors will receive land at affordable rates, creating a win-win for business and Bihar’s economy.

Another edition of Bihar Business Connect will take place after the elections. By then, the government plans to showcase ready-to-use industrial parks, giving entrepreneurs a solid reason to choose Bihar.

🌟 Bihar is not waiting for opportunities—it is creating them. The industrial future of the state is unfolding, and it promises jobs, growth, and progress.
