When faith moves, even roads make way.
And this time, devotion arrived on 96 wheels, carrying the world’s largest Shivlinga into Bihar.
Bihar witnessed a rare spiritual milestone.
The world’s largest Shivlinga entered Gopalganj district, drawing crowds, chants, and deep emotion.
As soon as the Shivlinga crossed into Bihar, devotion filled the air.
Meanwhile, devotees lined the roads with flowers and folded hands.
At the same time, chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echoed across towns.
Notably, district officials and police officers also joined the rituals.
They offered flowers, sandalwood, and prayers.
Therefore, the moment turned administrative presence into collective devotion.
Moving such faith required extraordinary engineering.
Hence, authorities used a specially designed 96-wheel truck.
The Shivlinga weighs 210 metric tons.
Because of this, engineers planned every turn carefully.
As a result, the journey remained slow but steady.
The convoy will complete the Gopalganj stretch within 48 to 50 hours.
After that, it will move toward East Champaran.
Along the route, people continue to gather for darshan and a glimpse.
What makes this Shivlinga truly exceptional?
It comes from Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu, a global heritage hub.
Artisans sculpted it from one massive granite stone.
Therefore, no joints or segments exist.
This single-stone design reflects rare Indian craftsmanship.
Moreover, the Shivlinga showcases traditional South Indian carving styles.
Every curve speaks of patience, devotion, and mastery.
According to Vinayak Venkataraman, founder of the manufacturing company,
the project cost nearly ₹3 crore.
Clearly, it stands as both art and offering.
Gopalganj did not just witness movement.
Instead, it became a moment of pause and prayer.
Locals waited for hours along highways.
Women performed aarti.
Children showered petals.
Elders folded hands in silence.
Consequently, roads turned into corridors of devotion.
Faith, once again, united strangers.
This sacred journey has a powerful purpose.
The Shivlinga will be installed at the Virat Ramayan Mandir in East Champaran.
The temple project was initiated by Kishore Kunal,
Chairman, Bihar State Religious Trust Board,
and a key figure of Mahavir Mandir Nyas Samiti.
The temple’s scale reflects its vision.
It will stretch 1080 feet in length and 540 feet in width.
Since the foundation stone was laid on 20 June 2023,
several structures are already complete.
These include the entrance gate, Singh Dwar, Nandi Mandap, and Garbhagriha piling.
If timelines hold,
the Shivlinga will be installed by February, welcoming the new year with divine energy.
This moment goes beyond religion.
It reflects Bihar’s growing presence on the national spiritual map.
