Golden Jubilee Reunion: When Patna Women’s College 1975 Batch Turned Memories Into Magic!

A Morning Filled With Nostalgia and New Memories

As the clock struck 11 a.m., Patna Women’s College came alive with echoes of laughter and excitement. The batch of 1975 returned home after fifty years — their eyes gleaming with pride, their hearts filled with stories untold.

The reunion at Veronica Auditorium wasn’t just another event. It was a heartfelt celebration of shared journeys, life-long friendships, and the power of women’s education. Principal Sister M. Rashmi A.C. welcomed the alumnae with warmth, presenting each of them with a rose. Soon, a soulful musical performance filled the hall, setting a deeply emotional tone for the morning.

Looking Back: From Simplicity to Strength

Patna Women’s College has been a pillar of women’s empowerment since 1940. Although the campus has transformed with time, its spirit of excellence remains unshaken. The alumnae recalled how classrooms once echoed with ambition and laughter, shaping not just their education but their entire outlook on life.

Amrita Jaiswal, President of the PWC Alumni Association, delivered a moving address. She shared her fondest memories — library hours, cultural events, and the camaraderie that defined their days. Her words bridged generations, reminding everyone that learning at PWC is about more than books — it’s about becoming confident, compassionate women.

The Tribute That Moved Hearts

A special video presentation followed, showcasing the evolution of the college through five decades. Old photographs, glimpses of the first classrooms, and snapshots of the 1975 sports field played on screen. Many alumnae couldn’t hold back tears.

Sister Rashmi also shared the college’s journey — from modest beginnings to a leading institution in Bihar. The alumnae applauded as she reaffirmed PWC’s mission to empower women through education and community leadership.

Then came the emotional highlight. The former Premier and Vice Premier of the batch offered heartfelt tributes, while the Sports Secretaries were honored for their achievements. Souvenirs and handbooks exchanged hands, sealing the memories of a day that blended the past and the present beautifully.

Voices of the Past: Stories That Still Inspire

When the microphone opened for personal stories, laughter and tears flowed together. Some alumnae spoke of their first day at college, others of teachers who changed their lives forever. Every story added another color to the canvas of PWC’s history.

As they toured the renovated campus — the upgraded labs, new library wings, and bright classrooms — nostalgia met admiration. The once small corridors now led to vast spaces filled with opportunity. And yet, the same warmth lingered in the air.

More Than a Reunion — A Legacy Reaffirmed

This reunion wasn’t just about catching up after fifty years. It was a reminder of how powerful education can be when it nurtures values and vision. The alumnae left with souvenirs, but they also carried something deeper — a renewed pride in being part of Patna Women’s College’s legacy of sisterhood and strength.
