Two of Bihar’s finest stars are now the torchbearers of democracy! Kranti Prakash Jha and Neetu Chandra—both celebrated actors with strong roots in Bihar—have been officially appointed as State SVEEP Icons by the Bihar Election Commission. Their mission? To raise voter awareness and inspire mass participation in the electoral process.
The Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program is Bihar’s key initiative to ensure every citizen becomes an informed and responsible voter. By bringing in Kranti and Neetu, the campaign is taking a giant leap in outreach and relatability.
Both actors will actively engage in awareness drives across the state. From social media campaigns to grassroots events, they’ll motivate people—especially first-time voters—to understand and participate in the democratic process.
Kranti Prakash Jha, known for roles in Batla House and Raktanchal, has always highlighted Bihar’s cultural depth in his work. Neetu Chandra, a National Award-winning actress and classical dancer, has represented Bihar on national and international stages.
Their appointment is more than just symbolism—it’s a strategy. As beloved public figures, they can cut through the noise and connect emotionally with citizens, especially the youth.
Their participation will include:
Public service announcements and voter education videos
School and college outreach programs
Awareness campaigns during voter list revisions
Collaboration with local influencers and artists
The Election Commission has already launched multiple video and audio clips featuring both stars as part of this initiative.
This move not only deepens civic participation but also reshapes how voter awareness is communicated—dynamic, relatable, and impactful.
