A Dream Wired into Reality: How One Man Sparked a Tech Movement in Patna

Not long ago, this sentence would have sounded unrealistic. Today, step into TechProLabz in Patna, and you’ll find school students building machines, programming bots, and thinking like engineers.

At the center of this shift is Vivekanand Prasad, the founder of TechProLabz – School of Robotics. He didn’t just start a business—he started a movement. His goal was clear:
To help students become creators of technology, not just passive users.

TechProLabz began in 2017 with limited resources. Over time, it evolved into India’s largest school robotics club, engaging more than 10,000 students. It is also the first known lab in India where school children work as R&D engineers. These young minds are solving real-world problems through innovation.

2017 to 2025: From One Room to a National Movement

The journey was never simple. Bihar, often overlooked in tech discussions, offered little support for such an idea. Still, TechProLabz went ahead and challenged the status quo.

Over the last eight years, the lab has expanded to include:

• 20+ Maker Spaces across India

• 200+ trained student engineers

• Robotics projects that have earned national recognition

• A growing team of mentors, engineers, and developers

The students at TechProLabz are not simply learners. They are builders, designers, and innovators. One group created a robotic arm to assist students with physical disabilities. Another designed a flood-monitoring drone after the 2021 Bihar floods.

These are not school projects. They are solutions for real challenges.
