Fresh Eggs, Fresh Vision: Bihar’s Startup That’s Disrupting Your Breakfast

“जब अंडा ताज़ा हो, तो शुरुआत भी ताज़गी से होती है!”

Not all heroes wear capes—some wear lab coats, walk through farms, and rethink what we eat every morning. That’s exactly what Abhishek Negi, Aditya Singh, and Uttam Kumar, three IIT Kharagpur alumni, did when they founded Eggoz in 2017—starting from a humble poultry farm in Bihar.

Today, their egg brand is a ₹130 Cr revenue powerhouse, present across major Indian cities, loved for its farm-fresh, herbal-fed, and safety-checked eggs that reach consumers in under 24 hours.

What’s Wrong With Loose Eggs?

Before Eggoz, most Indians consumed eggs that were:

  • 10 to 15 days old

  • Fed on chemical-rich feed

  • Transported through unhygienic supply chains

  • Smelling rotten, with thin whites and watery yolks

The founders saw a gap: consumers were unaware of egg quality. So, they created Eggoz to change the way India eats—and to prove that “real freshness” can be delivered.

The Eggoz Promise: Farm to Fork in 24 Hours

What sets Eggoz apart? It’s their commitment to:

  • 100% herbal hen feed (no antibiotics, no chemicals)

  • 11-stage safety checks including pH testing, candling, shell strength, and UV sanitization

  • Tech-enabled traceability from farm to store

  • Delivery within 24 hours of laying

This results in vibrant orange yolks, thick egg whites, and zero “ande waali smell.”

Farmer-First, Technology-Driven

Eggoz works on an asset-light, farmer-led model—it doesn’t own farms but empowers local poultry farmers through:

  • A smart Farmer App

  • Integrated IoT devices

  • Direct coordination (no middlemen)

  • Regular veterinary care and training

This ensures ethical farming, boosts farmer incomes, and scales production efficiently.

Egg Meets Innovation: The “Egg-verse” of Healthy Snacks

Recognizing how junk food dominates snacking, Eggoz introduced its frozen egg-based snacks that blend nutrition with taste:

  • Juicy Anda Bhurji Momos

  • Protein-rich Egg Burger Patties

  • Crunchy Egg Nuggets

These snacks avoid preservatives and artificial fillers, making them ideal for health-conscious adults and kids alike.

₹167 Crore Raised, ₹130 Crore Revenue, and Break-even: Eggoz’s Big Leap Forward

In June 2025, Eggoz raised $20 million (~₹167 crore) in a Series C funding round led by Gaja Capital. Participating investors included:

  • IvyCap Ventures

  • Rebright Partners

  • Avaana Capital

  • NABVENTURES

  • Merisis Opportunities Fund

  • Artek Chemicals

  • Blue Dot Capital

  • Prominent angels like S. Ramadorai and Arvind Thakur

The funds will fuel expansion into new cities, strengthen its tech and cold-chain infrastructure, and scale its frozen product category.

But funding aside, Eggoz is already profitable. In FY25:

  • Revenue jumped 76% YoY, from ₹74 Cr to ₹130 Cr

  • It touched a peak ARR of ₹200 Cr

  • It achieved EBITDA breakeven in Q4 FY25

This proves Eggoz isn’t just a funded idea—it’s a financially solid, rapidly scaling company.

Made in Bihar, For All of India

Who Are the Founders of Eggoz?

In 2017, three young men from IIT Kharagpur decided to crack open India’s broken egg supply chain. What began as a small poultry experiment in Bihar has now grown into Eggoz—one of India’s fastest-growing agri-consumer startups.

Meet the founders:

Eggoz was born in Bihar and is now shaping how India consumes protein. The founders bring diverse strengths:

  • Abhishek Negi, CEO – Army background, IIT KGP alum

  • Aditya Singh, CBO – Food-tech expert, IIT KGP alum

  • Uttam Kumar, COO – Born and raised in Munger, Bihar

Their mission is clear: to make India protein-positive and build a clean food system—from hens to homes.

Today, Eggoz serves cities like Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and many Tier-2 locations—delivering more than just eggs, but also trust.
