Sitamarhi’s ₹21.64 Cr Road Revolution: 20-Foot-Wide Ring Road to Free City from Traffic Woes!

Thanks to the Chief Minister Urban Development Scheme, ₹21.64 crore has been approved, and the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUDCO) is set to begin work without delay.

₹14.85 crore will fund the blacktopping from the old post-mortem house to Paswan Chowk, Ganinath Mandir, and Ambedkar Chowk.
₹6.79 crore will go into constructing a wide, smooth road from Kaparol Gumti to the Ambedkar statue via Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir and Riga Road.

With the new Ring Road in place, outer areas of the city will finally connect more efficiently. Traffic from major junctions like Gaushala Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk, and the Chakmahla Bus Stand will reroute through the Ring Road, drastically reducing congestion inside the city.
Additionally, buses — especially those starting from the city’s primary stands — will find easier routes for operation. This improvement directly affects thousands of daily commuters who will now enjoy faster, hassle-free movement.
The new road won’t just ease traffic — it will save lives. Emergency services, including ambulances and fire brigades, will benefit from this streamlined route. No more losing precious minutes in traffic.
To ensure swift progress, the District Magistrate has already inspected the key points and asked the Road Construction Department to fast-track the DPR (Detailed Project Report). With this proactive approach, the administration has made clear its commitment to execution.
