A farmer’s daughter from Harnatad, West Champaran, Priya has made history by topping the Bihar Board Intermediate Examination across all streams with an outstanding 96.8% in Science.

Priya’s parents, Santosh Jaiswal, a farmer, and Reema Devi, a homemaker, never had the chance to complete their education. Yet, they made sure their daughters received every opportunity to study. Her elder sister, Preeti Jaiswal, who ranked 4th in Bihar in 2023, played a crucial role in Priya’s success. “Didi was the one who prepared me for the exam. She used to teach me all day,” Priya shared with Hindustan. Not only did she guide her, but she also motivated her to aim higher.
