Bihar’s Exceptional Talent Honored with the President’s Medal
Patna: Bihar shines as the state celebrates the honor of Kassey Suhita Anupam (IPS), Special Secretary of the Home Department, and Anil Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Patna. They received the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Services (PSM) just before Republic Day. This award recognizes individuals for their exceptional service over a long period.
Seven other officials, including police officers and members of fire services, Home Guard & Civil Defence (HG&CD), and correctional services, also received the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM). This prestigious award highlights their dedication to service, but this year, no one was selected for the Medal for Gallantry (MG).
Among the awardees for MSM were Superintendents of Police Sanjay Kumar and Manoj Kumar. Commandant Hari Mohan Shukla, Sub-inspectors Sanjit Kumar, Shashikant, and Jai Prakash, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Atimesh Kumar Upadhyay also earned the recognition. Their efforts have significantly strengthened Bihar’s security system.
The Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak was posthumously awarded to Pintu Kumar Sahni for saving lives. Vikash Yadav earned the Jeevan Raksha Padak for his heroic act in a life-saving rescue. These civilians showed immense bravery in protecting lives.
The PSM is the highest award for police officers. It honors individuals who have completed 25 years or more of service in the police or security organizations. This year, Kassey Suhita Anupam and Anil Kumar received the PSM for their outstanding leadership and contributions.
As India celebrates Republic Day, Bihar joins in to honor these remarkable individuals. Their commitment to serving the state and its people sets an inspiring example for future generations.
