Patna Kicks Off ‘Har Din Har Gali’ Drive to Keep Every Street Clean

A Daily Dose of Cleanliness for Patna

Imagine waking up to spotless streets every single day. That’s the vision Patna Municipal Corporation has rolled out with its new campaign — ‘Har Din Har Gali’. The goal is simple but powerful: make every street in the city cleaner, safer, and healthier.

Launched on August 14, 2025, the drive focuses on 100% door-to-door garbage collection, mosquito control, and daily road cleaning. The Municipal Commissioner, Animesh Kumar Parashar, shared that this mission is about more than tidiness — it’s about protecting public health and boosting Patna’s rank in the Swachh Survekshan survey.

Morning Checks, Real-Time Reports

This campaign comes with strict monitoring. Every day from 7 AM, ward nodal officers will inspect their areas. By 2 PM, they’ll send detailed cleanliness reports to headquarters.

Public places will also see lime and bleaching powder spraying to prevent infections. Additionally, anti-larva spraying and fogging will be done regularly to keep mosquito-borne diseases at bay.

Zones Under Strong Leadership

To make things run smoother, the city has been divided into six zones under two leaders. Ashish Kumar will oversee Patliputra, Kankarbagh, and Patna City. Rajan Sinha will handle Nutan Rajdhani, Bankipur, and Azimabad.

These officials will not only inspect work daily but also coordinate closely with ward officers. Their hands-on approach is expected to speed up problem-solving and improve results.

Residents at the Heart of the Mission

The Municipal Corporation knows that a city can only stay clean if its residents take part. That’s why they are urging people to cooperate with garbage collectors, avoid littering, and keep areas around their homes clean.

With this collective effort, Patna is aiming for more than just neat streets. It’s about creating a city that reflects pride, health, and responsibility in every lane.
