As the fourth day of the vibrant Chhath Puja (which concludes on 28 October) draws to a close, many festival-goers in Bihar are preparing to head back to their workplaces in other states. According to reports, 8 special trains will be deployed to ease this massive movement of people. These services aim to connect Bihar with major hubs like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and towns in Gujarat.
First, the holiday rush after a major festival often leads to congestion, long queues and uncertain travel. Secondly, many travellers find regular trains full or difficult to book. With dedicated special trains, travellers gain better access — including sleepers, general and AC coaches.
